I’m a certified running coach (Lydiard Foundation & Australian Athletics Association), lifelong runner, and firm believer that running should be joyful, sustainable, and kind to your body...not punishing or prescriptive.
I created the RMWA Complete Running Journal because so many runners I work with, especially beginners and first-time marathoners, wanted structure without rigidity, insight without overwhelm, and a way to build consistency through self-awareness, not pure willpower.
This journal is the tool I wish every new runner had:
→ A 12-week framework to plan with intention.
→ Space to reflect with awareness, not judgment.
→ And a simple system to see progress over time, so you can keep showing up, season after season.
No algorithms. No subscriptions. Yours to own forever.
When you use this journal, you’re not just logging runs, you’re building a lifelong, joyful running habit, one thoughtful week at a time.
— Steve
"As someone new to structured training, I was overwhelmed by apps and spreadsheets. This journal gives me simple, clear guidance without pressure. I finally feel like I’m building something sustainable, not just chasing a number."
— Tanya N. Beginner Runner.
“After a long break from running, I needed a way to rebuild consistency without burning out. The 12-week blueprint and weekly reflections helped me reconnect with why I run, not just how far. It’s become my running companion.”
— Avon M. Returning Runner.
“I’m using this journal alongside Steve’s coaching plan, and it’s the perfect pairing. It helps me show up intentionally for every run and notice patterns I might miss. Even on solo weeks, I feel guided.”
— Yongxing W. RMWA Coaching Member.
“I’ve logged runs for years, but never with this level of mindset and habit awareness. The enjoyment tracking, obstacle planning, and weekly gratitude make me look forward to filling it out. It’s not just a log, it’s an honest conversation with myself.”
— Brad B. Longtime Runner.
